A square aperture Christmas card

Hello how are you?

Today's' card I think is gorgeous, but that's only my opinion. It is very much inspired by Sue Wilson and of course I used her dies to make it.

Here it is:

Isn't it pretty? I began with a square piece of white card stock and cut out an aperture using the Sue Wilson Italian Collection Tuscany die twice.

The piece of card that remained I embossed using an A4 checkboard embossing folder.

I stuck this embossed layer to a prepared mat with foam tape raising it to give it some dimension. Then using the whole piece cut from the aperture and  another I cut out separately back into the aperture.

The matted base layers are the card itself made using white card stock, then a layer of Kaisercraft scarlet weave card stock then a pierced layer of white card stock.

Once most of the card was together I worked on the middle piece.

This time I used the Sue Wilson Italian Collection decorative frames dies and alternated the colours of the layers as you can see here.

At the centre I had stamped the sentiment with a memento Tuxedo Black ink pad using a Just Rite stamp. Adding some iced show around the outer edge.

On the bottom left edge I added some faux quilled leaves in white and some small red Petaloo poinsettias.

I kept the inside of the card fairly simple adding a strip of read and white polka dot ribbon and another sentiment using a Hero Art stamp.

A series of Christmas cards with deer in the woods

Hello!
How are you today? I have a few cards that are similar to show you today. They enabled me to use up a few scraps and make something that looks really great. I came across some really pretty vintage washi tape at our local Office works store and I used this to finish off a couple of these cards.

The first card:

The front of the card - using up a few bits and pieces with a piece of washi tape.

Below is the inside of this card.

The second card:

I made a strip for the top of the card by using the second washi tape I purchased onto a strip of green metallic card stock. I used a white paint pen to make the marks on the deer and add snow to the trees.
I added  4 stones at the corners from some Office works D.I.Y.I Adhesive Rhinestones 100 pack.

Below is the inside of this card.

The third card:

Again a strip across the top using a little scarlet card stock and made in a similar way as that shown previously.

Below is the inside of this card:

The fourth card:

You can't see the strip across the top very well so hopefully the next picture shows this a little better.

I added one of the medium sized poinsettia flowers using the Sue Wilson dies, with holly leaves using Kaisercraft Liquorice weave card stock.

Santa's Tailors Shop - 2 Cards

How are you? Thanks for stopping by to read my blog.
I have two cards to share that are similar but different - a reoccurring theme here ... 2 cards that are similar but different!

Here is the first card:

This is another of those great Cottage Cuts dies - I just love the little Santa Suit hanging out on the sign - it's just so cute! I used some Kaiser craft vanilla weave card stock for the base of my card. I think the 6 x 6 paper pad I used was Bo Bunny again. The bow is a Sue Wilson filigree bow die. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I used Spellbinders Floral ovals in Scarlet weave card stock and then used the same die on a white piece of card stock, used a pencil to trace the shape and then fussy cut it out and stamped it with Antique linen distressed ink pad.

I used a JustRite stamp and a Tuxedo Black ink pad by memento, with another touch of antique linen

Here is card #2:

Using the same idea, I cut out the backing in a Metallic card stock by American American crafts and a couple of pieces of Polka Dot ribbon that I bought from Spotlight!

Just like card #1, I used an Obsession Impression die to make the trees and a white paint pen gave the snow look, with a touch of Stickles Crystal Glitter.
Also Copics W1 & W3 to add shadow effects.

Here are the main ingredients I used to make these two cards:

I hope you liked these two cards, another card perhaps tomorrow .....
