Teal and White Happy Birthday Card

Hi there. How's it going wit you? It looks like all my schedules blog posts have all caught up and I am amazed to say I still have a few cards yet to show you.

Here's the next in line, a birthday card:

I used American Crafts white card stock for my base with a Light Teal coloured card stock for the main matted layer also from American Crafts. I then cut a smaller white mat and embossed it with the Sue Wilson A4 Beaded Fanfare embossing folder.

On the far left I used the Joanna Sheen Signature Louisa Lace border Die, I cut it out using the Teal coloured cardstock and also in sliver mirror card and then cut the flowers out of the silver and adhered them to the teal die cut underneath. I then added the lace to the left side of the card.

I used the Sue Wilson Wellington die cutting it firstly from white card stock and then I backed it with  the teal coloured card stock.
I used the centre dies in the set to cut a white inner piece backing it with silver mirror card.

The flowers were made using the Sue Wilson Orange stamps heat embossing them with white embossing powder on Vellum and cutting them out with the matching Sue Wilson dies. I coloured the flowers on their backs using a dauber and the Memento Teal Zeal ink. Then added pearls to their centres.

I created the  sentiment using the Creative Expressions Elegant Sentiment clear stamps inking the stamp with the Memento Teal Zeal ink pad.

I cut out the sentiment with the same Wellington centre die, inking the edges with the Memento Teal Zeal ink pad.

Lime Green and White Happy Birthday Card

Hello my blogging family and friends, I hope I find you well.

Today's card is a simple one and looks brilliant - it uses a couple of Sue Wilson's dies.

Here it is:

I began with making the card base with American Crafts white cardstock, then I added a mat of lime green. I used the Double Pierced Square dies by Sue Wilson to make the next layer. I then cut a smaller square which I embossed using the Sue Wilson Dotty Daisy A4 embossing folder. I then inked the edges with a Lime Patel chalk ink pad.

I cut two of the Sue Wilson Ornate Frame in white and backed it with the lime green card stock.

I cut one of these pieces into four quarters and added them behind the other complete die cut piece.

I used foam tape behind the combined centre pieces to give it some dimension.

I went berserk with small pearls and place slightly larger pearls strategically on this central panel.

For the very centre of the card. I used the Sue Wilson Charming Lace die which I used to cut two pieces. I layered them top and bottom of the circle cutting off the excess edges.

I used these spare/excess edges to "fill" what spaces were left in the circle most notably to the right and left of the circle.

I used a little oval die (sorry can't remember which die this was) inked the edges with the Lime Pastel Chalk Ink and then used a scrap of darker green card stock to die cut the Elizabeth Crafts Designs Happy Birthday sentiment.

..... and there you have it!

Buzzin' bees and Honey Pot Happy Birthday Card

Hello, I hope all is well with you and yours wherever you may be in the world right now!

I have a card to share with you that I was inspired to make by one of the design team on the Heartfelt Creations blog.

Here it is:

I used American Craft white card stock for the base of my card. I then layered the red patterned paper from a Kaisercraft Precious Moments 12 x 12 paper pad. The yellow card stock to make the next mat came from some paper I had in my stash.

I cut out a white oval using the Heartfelt creations eyelet oval die and stenciled the hexagon pattern around its edges using Dina Wakley's Essentials stencil and some Dandelion Memento ink

I laid this down on the card and then layered strawberries and flowers using the Berry Cafe stamps and dies. I coloured these images using a variety of Distressed ink pens and a water brush.

I cut out some of the little white flowers and paper shaped them and added them with glue to add some additional dimension.

I just adore this little industrious bee. I stamped, cut and coloured it,then added some Glossy accents to make it pop!

I added one of the Hummingbird from the Botanical Orchid collection from Heartfelt creations. It just seemed to fit.... hope it doesn't argue wit the bee!!!

There you have it!
