All in Blue and White - with a bit of Sparkle

Hello my blogging family and friends I hope I find you happy, healthy and hearty. Gosh that's an old English word - "Hearty" you don't often hear tat used much in general conversation. It fitted my alliteration today though!

I have a birthday card to show you that I made using blue and white, here it is:

I used American Craft white card stock for the base, then I used the Sue Wilson Cathedral background die with some Cosmic Shimmer Diamond Snow and Iced Snow. The ribbon was from Really Reasonable Ribbon (February 2014 subscription) and the flowers and leaves are a mixture of Heartfelt Creations Delightful Daisies, Arianna Blooms lace die, Sue Wilson's Curled Vines and there is a Spellbinders Sprigs die - I'll make sure it's in the ingredients list below.

The sentiment was from my stash, I am showing this picture so you can see the Iced Snow a little better, in real life the card positively glistens.

The flowers were so easy to make. I used my shaping tools on them once I had added white embossing powder after stamping with a versamark ink pad, then heat set them.

I then coloured them with a Cosmic Shimmer Colour Cloud blending ink - Frosty Sky.

I cut out the Heartfelt Creations Arianna lace die in white which I added to the back of the flower with other leaves also cut out in white.

The same treatment was given to create the flowers at the bottom right corner of the card. With pearls added to their centres too!

Here are the main ingredients that I used to make this card: NOTE LIST UPDATED 18-03-16

I hope you like the card - the dies really do all the work (as usual) I think it looks super in real life - I hope the photos do it justice!

A Birthday Card in Mustard

Hello blogging friends and Family. I hope you had a lovely weekend. I was very lucky to spend my Birthday weekend down in Sydney with Tiffany, Jim and our two Grandchildren Marley and Harry.
Frits my husband is working overseas at the moment so it was lovely not to have to spend the Saturday on my own.

As it happens I have been making a few Birthday cards and today's card is one too.

Here it is:

You can now see why I called my post a Birthday card in mustard. Although in real life it is more of a pumpkin colour. The base is made from an American Crafts cream/vanilla piece of card stock and then I used Kaisercraft Spiced Pumpkin weave card stock. The dies are both from Sue Wilson's New Zealand collection.

I used the Sue Wilson rectangle stitched dies to make the borders.

I cut out the  top most layer of spiced pumpkin with the Auckland die and then cut out a cream piece using the
Hamilton die - which is really gorgeous.

I used the outer die to cut a pumpkin background which I had stuck double sided tape to and then sprinkled it with Cosmic Shimmer Diamond Snow.

The sentiment is an old on from my stash which I cut using one of the smaller dies in the set.

I added some little pearl hearts in each of the corners to finish the card off.

The flowers were made using Heartfelt creations Delightful Daisy dies which I sprinkled with glue and glitter  (Details below). The leaves were heat embossed using white embossing powder and then coloured using Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint distress inks.
I filled the flowers with Prills and the stamens from the Arianna Bloom die set.

.... and there you have it.

A Silver Christmas Bauble Card

Hello there my blogging friends and family. How have you been today? It's been a really strange day here, rainy, very overcast and then it went very dark, but cleared up a little just before evening set in. Frits managed to get out on the tractor just before the rain set in to slash the paddocks to tidy them up. He did a great job!

I have one of my favourite cards to show you today. I loved making it and I think it looks gorgeous - let me show it to you....

Don't you think this card is just yummy?

I first cut a silver metallic piece of card stock from an American Crafts 12 x 12 card stock pad to fit onto my white card stock base. Then I cut a white card stock mat on top of that which I paper pierced.

Then the top piece of white card stock I cut multiple times with an Elizabeth Craft Design Sprig with Berries die. Then I used the Sue Wilson Vintage Bauble die, some more white and silver card stock to create the centre piece of the card.

I used the Sue Wilson Austrian Border, Corner and Tag die to create the sentiment piece, using a Just Rite stamp, memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and some more silver card stock. I die cut it again in white card stock and fussy cut it out placing it on foam pads on top of the silver tag I had previously die cut out.

I used all the pieces of sprigs that I had cut out, added glue to them then covered with Cosmic Shimmer Iced Snow before placing in the top left area of the card. I then used a Deco pearl paint pen to add faux pearls all over the spaces around the leaves. Then added the Bauble, sentiment, a ribbon tied into a bow on top of which I placed a sparkle thingy I had in my stash.

The main ingredients I used to make this card were:
