Wedding Card for S & V

Hello, how are you? I hope since last I posted that you have been keeping yourself well. I have been really busy at work and have also just taken a weeks holiday to celebrate our 26th Wedding Anniversary. It was actually meant to be for our 25th but we postponed from last year until late April this year because our work commitments meant we were out of the country.

Today I have a Wedding Card to show you that I was asked to make. WARNING! I have lots of pictures to show so grab a cup a cup of what you like to drink and take a browse!

Here we go!

Yes, it's a box! I made this from American Crafts white card stock to fit the card. When you know the principle of how a box is put together it can be simple to make them.

The Heart you see on the top is a Marianne Designs Anja Heart Die.

The satin ribbon I think I got from Really Reasonable Ribbon or Spotlight - one or the other!

This is the side on view of the box. It measures approximately 8" x 8" (20.5cms x 20.5cms) and 1/2" deep (1.5cms)

OK here's the card!

I am really pleased with how this card came out. It is the second Wedding Card that I have made for this lady who requested that I make this one for her other Granddaughter. So it had to be different from the first. (I made this first one for her back in May 2015 a year ago SEE HERE).

The card is a fold back gate card.

I used the Heartfelt Creations Regal borders dies for the top and sides.

Silver Mirror or Mirri card was used for the panel each side of the top flaps. I used one of Sue Wilsons embossing folders (Rows of Bows) to emboss these silver panels.

Here's a closer view of the top of the card.

Here is a closer view of the Sue Wilson Heart of hearts die that I used with the flower stamp that goes with it.
Although you cannot see in the picture, I stamped it with versa mark ink and heat embossed it with white powder.

The flowers were made by using vellum and a white gel pen and tracing over the packaging image that comes with the stamp as it is actual size, then fussy cutting them out and sticking them back over their twinned image.

At the centre of each flower I placed a gorgeous button, cutting the shank off with wire cutters.
No idea where I got these - I think it was a bead store based in China, that I found on the internet.
I used cosmic shimmer dies as clear glue to stick them onto the vellum.

When you open the card out fully this is what you see. I have more pictures showing all the parts of the card.

I folded back the flaps underneath the front of the card. You can see the initials of the bride and groom shown on these inner panels also embossed with the same Sue Wilson embossing folder that I used on the front.

This is the centre panel of the card. I used Marianne Designs Anja Heart and the Tiny Love Birds dies cut out of American Craft white cardstock backed by silver mirror card.

At the four corners I used creative expressions white bead corners.

On the back of the card I used the Cottage Cutz wedding car die and the Sue Wilson New Zealand Tag die, as well as the lower case alphabet dies called English Rose.

A Closer view - these are fun dies to put together. I coloured the white card stock used with my copic markers.

............. and there you have it! I hope you like it. It was fun to make once I had got the idea in my head of what to do. That's, for me the bit that often takes the longest to think through.

Here are the ingredients that I used to make this card:

Thanks for stopping by today, if time I will share the card I made for my Dad's Birthday tomorrow!

Hello Deer-ling

Hello my blogging family and friends, I hope you are having a GRAND day.

I have the second of my two Marianne Collectibles die cards to show you today. They are such fun to make and then its a question of making a card background for them!

This die set is the two little deer or more accurately I suppose two little fawns!

Here's my card:

I think this card is so sweet. I used a mixture of Heartfelt Creations dies and stamps, the sentiment I created on my computer and printed it out! All the details will be in the ingredients below. The pale green cardstock is from American Crafts. I cut out the oval using a Spellbinders Grand Ovals die.

They look so adorable, I made them and had them sitting on my crafting table for ages - they were my crafty playmates, then I just had to make them into a card! I added glossy accents to their noses and fawn spots.

The flowers are from Heartfelt Creations - Delightful Daisies, I firstly heat embossed the stamps with white embossing powder then coloured them using daubers, memento inks and a dove blending pen. The leaves I coloured with Distress Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive ink pads. There are also some Sue Wilson leaves added too. I added prills to the flower centers using dries clear glue from Cosmic Shimmer.

The little button in the corners are a combination of Enamel Stickers from Francheville (a Spotlight purchase) and Bo Bunny Double Dot Emerald Jewels.

Here's the ingredients that I used to make this card:

Thanks for stopping by to read today's post - hope the rest of your day goes really well.
