Happy Birthday - (2) Stained Glass Window technique cards

Hello my blogging friends and family, I hope your day has gone well and you have managed to find some great down time for yourself too.
I managed to get some time in my crafty space over the weekend so I am showing you the last two of my Stained Glass Window cards together. They have been made in much the same way as those I have shown previously ... just different colours and shape.

Here we go with the first of the two cards:

I used American Crafts Red cardstock with white to create this card. The embossing folder is Sue Wilson's Rambling Blossom. I love these colours and the Art Institute Glue and Glitters in Red, Green and Silver bring the card to life I think!

The glitter has a wonderful twinkle to it!

I was so pleased with how the Rose came out. I used red felt and white cardstock cutting out the pieces using the Sue Wilson Classic Rose die - following her youtube video (CLICK HERE!) which shows how to cut the three pieces before assembly.
The leaves were a punch I have had in my stash for ages.

A ribbon helped attach the sentiment to the top right hand corner.

Here is the second of the two cards:

I used .... yes you've guessed it - Sue Wilson dies. This time from the Italian Collection - Calabria die set.

The corners were die cuts from an Impression Obsession house die.

I backed the die (as I did with all this style of card) with clear acetate and then added glue and glitter to the back which when dry shines through on the front of the card. I love the central pearl button, I got these from a bead company on E-bay (China). I needed some wire cutters to cut the back off so that it would stick to the flatness of the card.

Here are the main ingredients that I used to make these two cards:

Thanks for stopping by to read today's post. I have a couple more cards in the pipeline to show you; one of which I am particularly happy with ... watch this space..

Happy Birthday (Lilac Stained Glass Window Technique) Card

Hi my blogging friends and family, how are you? I hope you are looking forward to/are having a GREAT weekend. I hope to spend some time in one of my favourite places tomorrow - yep! you've guessed it - my crafting space!

Here is another of the "Stained Glass Window" technique cards I said I'd be showing you: this time a square shape using Sue Wilson Italian and Noble Collection dies.

I used American Crafts cardstock pack with white to make this card.

The central medallion was made using the Sue Wilson (Creative Expressions) Calabria die and the Spellbinders Grand Circle smallest die, then backed with clear acetate and adding Art Institute glue and glitter to the back. Once dry the beautiful colours just twinkle through the die cut. on the front.

I cut up some Pearl ribbon into little rows of three pearls, adding them at each corner of the card.

In the bottom left corner of the card I added some Lilac Tulle, a few white beaded strands and a Purple flower I made from a Prima collection of flower bits that I found in my stash.

The main ingredients that I used to make this card:

Thanks for stopping by and reading today's post, I hope all is well wherever you are in your part of the world.

Happy Birthday (green rectangle stained glass window technique) card

Hello, how are you? Today has been REALLY REALLY cold even for Dorrigo! Last night we had temperatures of minus 2 degrees. Today the wind just strips any heat away, out of the wind the sun is quite lovely. I hope wherever you are the day has been beautiful.

Here is another of the stained glass window technique cards that I mentioned I'd be showing you in previous blogs, so here goes:

I used a sheet of green American Crafts cardstock in conjunction with the white cardstock. The embossing folder is from Sue Wilson as well as the Sue Wilson (creative Expressions - Noble Collections) Ornate pierced rectangles die.

By adhering a piece of clear acetate behind the first die cut then adding (Purple, bright pink and yellow) Art Institute glue and glitter ensures that when they all dry these beautiful colours twinkle through on the right side. I added small pink rhinestones at the corners and a 8mm pink pearl in the centre. I added a bright pink ribbon (from Really Reasonable Ribbon) in the top right hand corner

I used three roses from Wild Orchid Crafts that I have had for ages and combined them with some baker's twine and light green tulle.

The main ingredients I used to make this card were:

Thanks for stopping by to read today's post. I have three more cards using this technique to show you so they'll be coming this way soon
