Happy Birthday - with Pink Vellum

How are you? I really cannot believe how long ago my last posting was made! I have been making the odd card here and there, just not blogging about it! So today I sat down and thought I might be able to add a few of my cards here.

So here goes......

I was inspired to create this card from one I saw on Pinterest. I used the Sue Wilson Double Pierced rectangles for the base of the card in American Crafts white cardstock.

I used vellum to make the central panel and coloured the back of it with Worn Lipstick distressed ink.

I cut them out using Sue Wilson Noble dies and the stamp was one of Phil Martin sentiments stamps.

The flower was the Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur dies and stamps which I coloured with Worn Lipstick distressed ink, I then sugared it with glue and glitter.

I added a couple of Dandelion clocks (Sue Wilson dies - of course!!!)

I also had a little thin ribbon from my stash which I added too!

... and there you have it!

Here are the main ingredients that I used to make this card:

I hope you liked this card .... I will be posting a few more .... promise .... I have just discovered I can schedule postings ahead of time.

All in Blue and White - with a bit of Sparkle

Hello my blogging family and friends I hope I find you happy, healthy and hearty. Gosh that's an old English word - "Hearty" you don't often hear tat used much in general conversation. It fitted my alliteration today though!

I have a birthday card to show you that I made using blue and white, here it is:

I used American Craft white card stock for the base, then I used the Sue Wilson Cathedral background die with some Cosmic Shimmer Diamond Snow and Iced Snow. The ribbon was from Really Reasonable Ribbon (February 2014 subscription) and the flowers and leaves are a mixture of Heartfelt Creations Delightful Daisies, Arianna Blooms lace die, Sue Wilson's Curled Vines and there is a Spellbinders Sprigs die - I'll make sure it's in the ingredients list below.

The sentiment was from my stash, I am showing this picture so you can see the Iced Snow a little better, in real life the card positively glistens.

The flowers were so easy to make. I used my shaping tools on them once I had added white embossing powder after stamping with a versamark ink pad, then heat set them.

I then coloured them with a Cosmic Shimmer Colour Cloud blending ink - Frosty Sky.

I cut out the Heartfelt Creations Arianna lace die in white which I added to the back of the flower with other leaves also cut out in white.

The same treatment was given to create the flowers at the bottom right corner of the card. With pearls added to their centres too!

Here are the main ingredients that I used to make this card: NOTE LIST UPDATED 18-03-16

I hope you like the card - the dies really do all the work (as usual) I think it looks super in real life - I hope the photos do it justice!

A Birthday Card in Mauve

Hello, I do hope I find you well. It's been a while since I was able to get into my crafting space. After Christmas we were off to Dubai for work and then home for a short spell then off to the UK for about 11 days. I don't feel like I have stopped since and the jet-lag this time really got to me I was awake at silly hours and wanting to sleep when I needed to be awake. Still all good now having spent some crafty time in my crafty space.

I have a Birthday card to show you. It uses one of the new Sue Wilson dies from the New Zealand set - the background die which is really pretty. Here's the card and I'll explain more as I go.

I used American Crafts white card stock for my card base and some very old magenta Creative Memories light cardstock that's been in my stash forever.

I used the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms stamp which I stamped using a Versamark ink pad and white embossing powder that I heated.

Once done I used some Pan Pastels to colour the die and I added some prills into the centre using Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue to hold them there.

I used a paper shaping kit to mould the flower and then placed it onto a lacey backgroud cut out using the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Lace die. I added some Sue Wilson die cut maidenhair fern leaves as well.

I am really loving the green leaves. They are from The Heartfelt Creations Delightful Daisies die - again white heat embossed and then coloured using Peeled Paint an Crushed Olive mini distress ink pads.

These two flowers I placed bottom right on my card.

The New Zealand background die is lovely to use. I cut out the centre on sticky backed double sided paper and then sprinkled ice snow on it, it looks lovely behind the centre panel of the die. The Happy Birthday sentiment is one I made on my computer and I had hanging around in my sentiments box.
And there you have it.
