Christmas Cards 2015 - Part 2

Hello my blogging friends and family. Second day of the New Year and I hope the year has started well and continues to do so for you and yours!

Part 2 of my Christmas cards today and another three to share.

This first card I did two versions of.

Both are similar with a few variations. All made using American Craft card stock in white and pale blue. The dies are from Tattered Lace, Marianne Designs and the snowflakes and Trees are from Obsession Impression. The beautiful "Let it snow" sentiment on card number one is from Lawn Fawn.

Here I took a photo from above so you can see how I concertinaed the slide pieces so that the layered images could be adhered to the sides to create the card - this was taken before I added all the decorative elements and the Stickles.

Card Two

For this card I used the La Pashe Christmas Trinitage images that I have electronically stored on my PC, which can be downloaded electronically from La Pashe >>>>HERE

Instead of making the cards the way they suggest - I used the same technique as I did with my first style of card to make a series of these.

I varied the style by adding a pocket at the back into which I placed a Sentiment Tag and writing panel. Here you can see the pocket a little better.

I added a few embellishments including the Tattered Lace "Christmas Lights Washing line" die as well as the Obsession Impression snowflakes die. The Merry Christmas sentiment is a Sue Wilson die.

Card Three

Again I made Four of these types of cards with Two Different fronts. I used some lovely sparkly Christmas Kraft cardstock from Spotlight with matching Ribbon and Stickers. I also Sue Wilson Frame and Tags dies on the front.

The stickers that I used were these:

Inside the cards I used a couple of Elizabeth Craft Design dies, details shown below in the ingredients list.

All the cards looked the same on the inside, I used Scarlet Kasiercraft weave and Kraft cardstock. The ribbon was from my stash as was the little tag.

Christmas Cards 2015 Part 1

Hello, my blogging friends and family. I am hoping that you had some terrific New Years Celebrations and that 2016 brings with it all you would wish for yourself and your family.

Today I am in catch up mode sharing 2015 Christmas cards made for a few friends and family members. I didn't have a great deal of time to spare this year despite starting to make Christmas cards in August. It looks like I have to begin earlier still this year!

Here are the first three cards and I'll add more when I can. We are working overseas shortly leaving on Jan 6th and not back until the end of the month, so I'll post what I can in the time available before we leave.

Sue Wilson dies - Gemini Collection, New York Collection, Noble stitched dies, and an Couture Creation - Christmas collection ultimate die - with a little red ribbon on the edges.

A closer view of the central medallion on this card. I used scarlet Kaisercraft weave cards stock and American Crafts white card stock to make the base of the card, a few pearls in the corners and a Poinsettia button from Spotlight and the card was complete.

My second card is a three step card. I made a Hessian base using some burlap material from Spotlight, then went mad with Cottage Cutz and Impression Obsession Tree dies. The base of the card was made using kraft cardstock.

I used some Crystal Stickles to highlight the trees and add a little bit of sparkle.

I used two different background dies from Cottage Cutz you'll see them both listed in the ingredients shown below. I used an ECD die to add the leaves, and the white flowers were from my stash as were the pearls.

This image gives you an appreciation of the side view showing the step feature of the card. I also added a little bit of seam binding to the largest step so that it would not "splay" open and remain upright when viewed.











My third and final card for this posting was one that "used up some of the card leftovers that were on my craft table.

The Sue Wilson noble stitched dies made the frames, then more Sue Wilson Christmas - festive collection dies to complement the card.

I cut this from the Sue Wilson die twice in white (although it looks cream in the photo) and in red layering the two die cuts together to give them some firmness and also a shadow effect.

The Sue Wilson "Dove of Peace" was cut twice with white card stock and stuck together for the same reasons listed above.

The Sue Wilson Poinsettia dies and leaves finished the card and I used red foil for the top layer of the flower to add a bit of sparkle.
