A Magic Slider Card

Hi, I hope your day is going REALLY well! I have been playing with "Slider" cards and today's card is another example of one of these cards. I saw Christina Griffiths demoing this on YouTube and thought 'd have a go too.

Here's the video that caught my eye:

If you cannot see this copy and paste the following into your browser and that should do the trick!

So here's my version of this type of card!

I used Kaisercraft Grape weave cardstock for my card base, American Crafts white cardstock, clear acetate and a Jet Black Stazon ink pad.

The stamp is an old Flourishes image, sadly they are no longer in business. However, the artist Marcella Hawley has her own business called "Poppy Power" and the link in the ingredients to the stamps I am using is her variation of this stamp. You can also see it >>>> HERE.

The flower is Tattered Blossoms from Heartfelt Creations with glitter added.

The flourishes are from Arianna Blooms Lace die from Heartfelt Creations as well.

The ivy is a Sue Wilson die from the Greek Collection.

The rest of my photos just show the slider in action..........

Just a little pull on the tag and the magic starts to happen!
By The Way the white "Film Strip" on the side of the card is an old white peel off that I have had in my stash for ages.

I used a Fiskars one inch punch to make the tabs and pull space. I used a yellow eyelet and an eyelet setting tool so the ribbon could be added.

A little bit more and the flowers come into bloom. I coloured the images using a variety of Copics.

Voila!

Here's how I decorated the back of the card. The sentiment is from JustRite Stamps, the cardstock is from a Kasiercraft "Sweet Treats" 12 x 12 paper pad and finally the punch used on the back panel of the card is from Martha Stewart.

Here are the main ingredients that I used to make this card:

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card. Why not have a go at making one yourself? It's interactive and always generates a "Wow' response from the recipient!

A 21st Birthday - Foliope Card

Hello I hope you are having a great day!
Today's post is short and sweet - it is because I have no idea what happened to all the photos I took of this card - they seemed to shrink and were only saved because Google had them stored on my pictures from my phone!

Firstly I need to point you in the direction of Laura Denison and her YouTube video which is what inspired me to make this card for someone in the first place you will find it  >>>>>HERE.

All I have been able to salvage is contained in this montage of photos - I at least can remember what I used as ingredients so I can add those - not that there are too many - the video is really great at showing you how to make this project.

So here you go - you can get an idea of it. I had a clear plastic box (it held a Sizzix die at one time in its life!) which I used to provide a home for my project. The card stock was a Kaisercraft "Timeless" 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad. I also used just regular white envelopes that I had at home.

I used a few Quietfire Designs >>>>> HERE rubber stamps for the sentiments which I heat embossed onto tags which went inside each of the envelopes. In addition a couple of Martha Stewart punches and that was almost it.

Knock Knock - it's a Christmas Card

Hello everyone from a VERY hot day here in NSW Australia. Our outside Thermometer registered 42.5 degrees and they say tomorrow (Sunday) will be hotter still. Well I will be doing all I can to stay cool. For those of you in colder climes I apologise for "rubbing it in". We have been looking at all the snow in New York and we will be there ourselves in early December - so we'd better make sure we have our winter gear with us!! Regardless of where you are I hope you are having a great weekend.

Today's card is another Christmas card. I used Bo Bunny's 12 x 12 Avenue paper. As soon as I saw it I knew exactly the card I wanted to make. So here it is:

I cut the card stock to a reasonable size then punched the edges with a Martha Stewart punch, adding some red strips from my stash behind so that you could see the pattern better.

I used a red peel-off for the sentiment and used a Spellbinders die for the base of the sentiment which I placed at the top of the card.

I cut a lot of Holly leaves from the Sue Wilson Holly Accessory dies in different coloured Green cardstock - most of it from my scraps basket in my stash, I arranged them to look like a wreath.

I then created a triple fold bow in red ribbon which I added at the base of the wreath.

And there we have it. I kept the inside pretty plain with a stamped sentiment inside. I added a piece of ribbon at the side to cover the join between the front and back of the base card made from white card stock

At Christmas Play & Cheer card

How are you today? I hope you have had or are having a brilliant time!
It's Friday evening as I write this post on my blog, here in Australia and we have some great plans for the weekend. They include going to the Cinema to see "The Equalizer" with Denzel Washington. I remember seeing this series on the TV when I lived in the UK starring Edward Woodward. So we are looking forward to seeing Denzel in action - I've seen the previews and he is certainly a character of action. We are also going to see a show in the evening starring a comedienne we like called Kitty Flanagan. On Sunday I may even get some crafty time - who knows!

In the meantime I have a Christmas accordion card to show you.
Here it is:

Here is the front of the card. I used a white card stock as the base of my card then used some Kaisercraft St Nicholas card stock to bring it to life.
I added a collectables button sentiment and a Petaloo poinsettia flower.

I used an ECD accordion die to make the structure of the card.

I took a photo as I held the card open so you can see inside it, I have taken separate photos of each of the two panels. You'll see those in a minute

In this panel I used a piece of scarlet Kaisercraft weave card stock, a sentiment from the St. Nicholas collectable pack and a flourishes image stamped with Black Tuxedo ink pad and coloured with my copic sketch markers.

I really like this holly card stock - it's so "Christmassy".

On this panel I punched out a couple of Jingle Bells from a Martha Stewart punch using Gold Mirror card. The ribbon is a paper ribbon cut out from a digi image that I had in my stash of bits and bobs. We all have them don't we. We crafters throw nothing away!

..... and there you have it.
