A Happy Birthday - in the pink!

Hello my blogging friends and family. I hope you have had a great weekend. Mine was smashing. I flew into Sydney and did a whole range of things. Frits was coming home from being in Malaysia, once he arrived we went to the Theatre and saw Cate Blanchett and Richard Roxborough in a play called "The Present". The Grandchildren and Tiffany & Jim came into Sydney too so we went for a lovely meal and then off to The Star to see the musical "Matilda" with them. A fun filled time indeed.

I had made a few cards before I was away and today I am showing you one of those:

Pretty in Pink huh?
I created the base card with American Crafts white cardstock. Then got busy weaving pink and white strips cut with Sue Wilson's weaving Die.

I used the Sue Wilson Noble ornate squares die to make the frame which I adhered with foam tape to the woven piece and cut this to the size of the frame.

In the centres I added the middle sized die of the Spellbinders labels 46 Decorative accents cut in pink, added a few pink Phinstones. Then cut a centre piece from the Spellbinders labels 46 dies. The sentiment was a freebie from a magazine subscription which I added to the central insert with a piece of ribbon from my stash. The little pink pearl hearts were from Mei Flower.

I then added opal liquid pearl around the edges of the base card and the topper.
.... and there you have it. I think it's a pretty card.

The main ingredients that I used to make this card:

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope it bodes well, for a brilliant week ahead for you
