Hello my Blog friends how are things with you? It's Friday so the weekend approaches and I am excited as tomorrow I am taking my cards to Bellingen Community Markets. These markets held on the 3rd Saturday of each month are one of Australia's largest and most diverse regional markets and specialise in handmade arts and crafts, local food, fresh produce, alternative therapies all with live entertainment provided by local groups and bands. It is our first visit to these markets as stallholders, so a new venture awaits! I'll let you know how I get on.
The card I have to show you today is one I was commissioned to make for Alison, by a friend, for her 60th Birthday. The brief was to include reference to three things ... Wine, her connection to her Pharmacy Interests and Travel. I thought a Star card might be the way to go .....
On the second point of the star I added some elements from some travel stickers that I bought from Spotlight.
On the third Star Point I added some images and Logos of Australian Pharmaceutical Organisations and a Sticker of Australia.
In this photo I combined two images so that the main embellishments are shown in a closer view. You can see the stamps and flowers a little better.
I modified a couple of verses that I found on the web to fit Alison and her 60th Celebrations. I printed the verses on my computer and Die cut it with a Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Square Die.
I placed this at the centre of the Star card.
This image shows the back of the Card.
Here is the video clip I promised earlier:

Thanks for stopping by today. I will definitely let you know how I get on tomorrow

I have made a couple of these cards and they are always well received. The inspiration for this card originally came from Mio Linden's Blog CLICK HERE. You will need to translate the page as it is written in Swedish.
The card base was cut to 45cms ( I think in the original Mio cut her example to 30cms). I used a big sheet of card that I purchased at Office works as 12 x 12 papers were not big enough for the additional size. The finished card measures approx: 23cms (9 inches) from point to point of the star.
I used a variety of Design Papers including K & Company and Provo Craft Crafters Block. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the stamps are from Just Rite Stampers, and the letter "A" is a Kaisercraft Rhinestone element. The Butterflies are stickers that I have had for ages and I don't remember where I got them.
When unfolded you get to see the three points of the star.
On this first point I added images (from Google) of a vineyard and some wine.
The Yellow Gingham ribbon at the top is from really Reasonable Ribbon.
On the second point of the star I added some elements from some travel stickers that I bought from Spotlight.
On the third Star Point I added some images and Logos of Australian Pharmaceutical Organisations and a Sticker of Australia.
