2 Christmas Spiral Circle Pull Cards

Hello my blogging family and friends.
I have two cards to show you that are similar but different - I've called them the Santa and Penguin versions.
I'll start with the Santa version first. Here it is:

I made the card using the ECD Spiral Circle Pull card die and I used a First Edition 12 x 12 paper pad for the base of the card as well as the page that had these figures on it which I fussy cut out. After finishing the card I decided it needed something ... then I thought to make a feature of the little nubs which hold the fold - I took another picture ... see below.

I used Candi paper brads which are made from red mirror card, they just add a little more dimension - an improvement I thought! You can see this better in the close up below.

Here's the spiral spring which I loaded with more fussy cut pressies from the card stock. I then cut a circle using a small spellbinders eyelet die and some white card stock. The green card stock is from a Kaisercraft Christmas 12 x 12 card stock pack - Christmas Tradition I think.

Here's a close up of the characters - Santa his reindeer and the Christmas Tree.

Again using the images on the card stock from First Edition card stock pad I added this little stocking to the corner of the card.

This is so cute - as you can see similar cut but different! BTW the sentiment is another ECD die.

Not a stocking in the corner of the card this time but a pair of mittens!

At Christmas Play & Cheer card

How are you today? I hope you have had or are having a brilliant time!
It's Friday evening as I write this post on my blog, here in Australia and we have some great plans for the weekend. They include going to the Cinema to see "The Equalizer" with Denzel Washington. I remember seeing this series on the TV when I lived in the UK starring Edward Woodward. So we are looking forward to seeing Denzel in action - I've seen the previews and he is certainly a character of action. We are also going to see a show in the evening starring a comedienne we like called Kitty Flanagan. On Sunday I may even get some crafty time - who knows!

In the meantime I have a Christmas accordion card to show you.
Here it is:

Here is the front of the card. I used a white card stock as the base of my card then used some Kaisercraft St Nicholas card stock to bring it to life.
I added a collectables button sentiment and a Petaloo poinsettia flower.

 I used an ECD accordion die to make the structure of the card.

I took a photo as I held the card open so you can see inside it, I have taken separate photos of each of the two panels. You'll see those in a minute

In this panel I used a piece of scarlet Kaisercraft weave card stock, a sentiment from the St. Nicholas collectable pack and a flourishes image stamped with Black Tuxedo ink pad and coloured with my copic sketch markers.

I really like this holly card stock - it's so "Christmassy".

On this panel I punched out a couple of Jingle Bells from a Martha Stewart punch using Gold Mirror card. The ribbon is a paper ribbon cut out from a digi image that I had in my stash of bits and bobs. We all have them don't we. We crafters throw nothing away!

A Woodland Deer Christmas Card

Hello dear blogging family and friends, I hope I find you well and in good form.

Today I have a Christmas card to show you .... here it is:

I used Kaisercraft scarlet weave card stock as the base of my card. I used my new Sizzix Decorative strip dies to make the woodland deer scene for the bottom of my card. I cut it twice in brown first then in green and layered the green on top of the brown. Then used a white paint marker to add the snow effect. On the top of the card I used an Elizabeth Craft design stand up die placed on some card stock from my stash, the white layer I used a pokey tool to add some faux stitching/

Here's a closer look at the die cut.
I used my W1 & W3 copic sketch marker to add a little depth and dimension. The same white paint marker for marks on the backs of the deer.
Then added a little gold start on top of the Christmas Trees.
The red and white polka dot ribbon I bought from my local Spotlight store.

On the inside of the card, I added the bit of the strip that was left over from the front of the card with a label cut from an ECD accordion die.

Santa is on his way - Christmas Card

Hello blogging friends and family, how are you? Today I have had my Mum in my thoughts quite a lot. It would have been my Mothers 82nd Birthday today were she still alive. Your Mum never leaves you does she? I suppose because I live in Australia and she was in the UK;  I still have this vague sense that she is still with us, just somewhere else on this planet. I often find myself talking to her. Moments of magic I call them.

Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. I got my inspiration from a card on Pinterest, here is my version of it.

I also used the technique of creating a faux stitched edge on the base mat which I have been inspired to do since seeing some of Sue Wilson's cards. The darker blue mats was creaed from Kaisercraft Denim weave card stock.

The centre piece of my card was cut out using a Spellbinders Majestic labels 25 die.
The surrounding piece left I then put through a Swiss Dots embossing folder. Foam dots on the back meant it had some dimension.

I cut the "Moon" out using a Spellbinders circle die and then used some Perfect pearls which I smudges to give it a moon-like surface.

The Blue background paper was from a HOTP Paper pad that I have had for ages and this paper suited my purpose beautifully.

In the corner I used an ECD Merry Christmas Die.

I used a JRS Christmas stamp with Black Memento ink pad for inside the card and a piece of Polka Dot ribbon that I purchased at Spotlight.
