Cards for Kevin and Haley

It's good to have the pleasure of your company and Thanks for popping in to visit my blog. Today I have two cards to show you. They are both of similar style and design but embellished in entirely different ways. Both were commissioned and there were specific requests for things to be included on the cards.

The first one I'll show you was made for Haley.

Here is the front of the card all folded together.

This is an accordion style of card which you can see to better effect in the next photo.

The card is fully opened and the frame of the card holds four panels. I used Photos I was sent by Haley's mum to add to two of the panels.

This is a close up view of the first panel on the card.

The next panel I used a Hero Arts Stamp with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. I was asked to use Daisy Paper so this was what I used as the background to the stamp.

I added one of the other images of Haley and then used Alpha Tiles to Spell her name. I die cut with a Spellbinders Fleur de lis square die and distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Ink.

For the last panel I used a Kaisercraft Alpha Rhinestone Bling Letter with three pearls.

This is the reverse of the card.

The second card is for Kevin.

Kevin likes Nature, Trees and he likes the Guitar.
Here is the card fully opened.

Panel one, stamped with a Hero Arts Classic Pine Tree and a Classic Winter scene. I  stamped several times to give the effect of a small forest.

I used a Kaisercraft 60mm wooden Alphabet letter which I painted with Kaisercraft Gold paint and then added some gold crystals.
The guitar and other stickers are from a pack of Jenni B Collection Music Stickers JBS119 purchased at Spotlight.

The last panel stamped with Hero Arts stamps and some charms from My2Angels. The sentiment was stamped using a JustRite Stamp and added to a piece of silver Mirri card cut to shape with pinking scissors.

This is the back of the accordion card.

Here are the main ingredients I used to make this card:

I hope you liked these two cards. Thanks for stopping by today:

  1. Hi Sally, I love your flip cards they are Gorgeous. Do you have a video showing how you made the
flip cards from scratch...I can read it but it would be so much clearer for me if I can actually see you
making them...I get confused when I have to place the dies and get them to cut right.
    Thanks, Peach

  2. Hi Peach, I don't have a video made that shows how to make them. I am in the process of getting a new camera as my current one is not working and won't stay attached to the tripod. When all that happens I will try and help by doing a video on the flip cards for you. Thanks so much for making the request.
