Happy Birthday - (2) Stained Glass Window technique cards

Hello my blogging friends and family, I hope your day has gone well and you have managed to find some great down time for yourself too.
I managed to get some time in my crafty space over the weekend so I am showing you the last two of my Stained Glass Window cards together. They have been made in much the same way as those I have shown previously ... just different colours and shape.

Here we go with the first of the two cards:

I used American Crafts Red cardstock with white to create this card. The embossing folder is Sue Wilson's Rambling Blossom. I love these colours and the Art Institute Glue and Glitters in Red, Green and Silver bring the card to life I think!

The glitter has a wonderful twinkle to it!

I was so pleased with how the Rose came out. I used red felt and white cardstock cutting out the pieces using the Sue Wilson Classic Rose die - following her youtube video (CLICK HERE!) which shows how to cut the three pieces before assembly.
The leaves were a punch I have had in my stash for ages.

A ribbon helped attach the sentiment to the top right hand corner.

Here is the second of the two cards:

I used .... yes you've guessed it - Sue Wilson dies. This time from the Italian Collection - Calabria die set.

The corners were die cuts from an Impression Obsession house die.

I backed the die (as I did with all this style of card) with clear acetate and then added glue and glitter to the back which when dry shines through on the front of the card. I love the central pearl button, I got these from a bead company on E-bay (China). I needed some wire cutters to cut the back off so that it would stick to the flatness of the card.

Here are the main ingredients that I used to make these two cards:

Thanks for stopping by to read today's post. I have a couple more cards in the pipeline to show you; one of which I am particularly happy with ... watch this space..

  2. Hi Pearl, I must admit the red and white card was my husband's favourite too. The A4 embossing folders are great I much prefer them to their smaller cousins made by other brands! Hope all well with you.
