Flip Cards are easier than you might think!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope your day is either going well and/or gone well, such that you are now taking a load off and relaxing!

You may have noticed that I have added a Tab at the top of my Blog, next to the "Home" tag. I was chatting with a friend and they suggested putting my card commissions onto one page so that people can see them together. Always willing to listen and learn from feedback, I have created a page to do just that. Have a look if you have a minute!

I have also been experimenting with my Spellbinders Dies. I have noticed that Flip Cards are very popular at the moment. There are dies - Sizzix for instance, kindly provide them; that enable you to create this style of card.  I decided to see if I could use my Spellbinders Dies to create them and I have four cards to show you today that show you the results of my playtime! I also made a video of them as well - it shows the mechanism a lot clearer than a photo image.

This is the front of the first attempt I made of this style of card. All the cards shown here were made from Cream Quill Multiboard 210gsm acid free card stock.

For this card I used the Kaisercraft Pink Gelato 6.5" Paper Pad for my background papers.

The decoupage is a Marij Rahder A4 sheet #2571.

The Spellbinders die I used was Labels Eight S5-019.

As a final touch I used Ranger Gold Liquid Pearls.

The inside of the card shows the use of the Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight Die  S5-148.

Card number two.
On top of the base card I used a Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings 6.5" Paper pad. It has some great foil edges at the back of the pad that can be cut into strips and used, as I have done here, as a side feature.

The Spellbinders Dies used were, Grand Ovals, Large Ovals and Lacey Ovals.

The stickers are from K & Company and I used DCWV card stock underneath them.

The inside of card number two shows more of the stickers used as well as the pearls added as a final embellishment.

This is card number three.
On top of the base card I used a Kaisercraft Tigerlily 6.5" Paper pad as well as another of the strips from the sweet nothings pad.

The Spellbinders Dies used were, Grand labels Twenty Three as well as the standard Labels Twenty Three dies.

The decoupage is a Marij Rahder A4 sheet #2573.

The inside of card number three.
I added some little pink wired butterflies, I have had these for ages and they seemed to fit this card, apologies I cannot remember where I purchased them. I do know you can get them in craft stores.

... and to card number four.

For this card I used the Kaisercraft The Lake House 6.5" Paper Pad for my background papers.

The decoupage is a Marij Rahder A4 sheet #2575 and I used some Judikins Diamond Glaze to add an enamel layer to these decoupage embellishments.

The Spellbinders die I used was Labels Grand Labels Eleven LF-246.

I again used Ranger Gold Liquid Pearls to add a little feature to the card as a final touch.

The inside shows another strip from the Sweet Nothings Paper Pad as well as how I decorated the reverse Flip.

I used the two smallest dies in the series of the Spellbinders Grand Eleven Dies.

If you are curious about the dimensions I used as well as a first introduction into making them with your Spellbinders dies, then this may be helpful to you. I also refer to it on the attached video clip.

Here is the promised video clip:
